1 How does Alphabits.co work?

Alphabits is based on the fundamentals of cryptocurrency which is buying and selling based on demand. That is why we have a threshold of 20,000,000 (20 million) each for buying and selling every day. We use a special simulation tools to balance our trade so as to regulate the demand and supply and how much we can take in and release at a time. This means we can only buy as much as we sell and we sell as much as we buy at all times.

2 Why can't I buy more than #50,000 ?

In Alphabits we take security very seriously, so we need you to verify your account. And until you verify your account profile, you cannot buy or sell more than ₦50,000 (fifty thousand naira)

3 How do I register?

To register to be a member on Alphabits you must make sure to use your original name as it appears on your bank account. This is because, once registered, your name and phone number cannot be changed or altered again.

4 4 How do I get verified?

You can only get verified by uploading a government issued ID's which includes International passport, driver’s license, voters card and National ID card. You will upload it on the edit profile section of your page and it will be reviewed by the security section of our department and your verification will be processed. In some instances, we would require to give you a call verification on the numbers registered on your profile, so please make sure to submit a valid phone number.

5 How to receive bitcoin to your wallet?

On the dashboard, select the deposit bitcoin, copy or scan the barcode and paste on the sending side of where you are sending the bitcoin from. Our system requires 3 confirmations to receive bitcoin in your wallet. Be rest assured that it will be fast as we are using the latest technology in blockchain management on our site.

6 How to send bitcoin out of your wallet?

You can send bitcoin from your alphabits.co wallet to any wallet of your choice from the dashboard area of our site, click withdraw BTC, input the amount you wish to send, input the wallet address you are sending to, input your correct password and send. Please make sure the address you inputted is the correct one as bitcoins sent can never be returned back to you.

7 How to buy and sell on alphabits.co?

Buying and selling has been made as easy as possible on our site. Click Buy/Sell button to start buying and selling to/from us. To sell to us, select the amount you wish to sell, checkout, input your correct bank name, account number and confirm your name. Please make sure to confirm these details very well as we will not be held liable for an incorrect account trade.

To buy from us, members would be required to go to the Buy/Sell page, input the amount of BTC they want to buy. Then on checkout, members are to use either card payments, bank transfer and cash deposit stating the order number on the reference part of the transfer details. Please members are not in any occasion required to use or mention BITCOIN or CRYPTOCURRENCY in the form of payment. This is as to avoid bank transaction issues between the bank and the members. After payment, members are to upload a proof of payment on the upload section of the page and wait for the transaction to be verified by us and bitcoin released.

In situation where a member does a third-party transfer (that is transferring funds to us from accounts other than the registered member account), we will reject such transfers and funds would be sent back to the originating account, if member fails to provide the details of the originating account to us for a refund within 2days, the member would be required to bear the cost of transaction to the originating account.

8 On security

Members are to keep their passwords to only themselves to avoid losing their login credentials to a third party and subsequently losing their bitcoins. Members are encouraged to secure their account with a two-factor authenticator.

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security for your Alphabits account designed to ensure that you're the only person who can access your account, even if someone might know your password. With two-factor authentication, your account can only be accessed on devices you trust, like your smartphone. When you want to sign in to your Alphabits account, you will need to provide two pieces of information—your password and the six-digit verification code that's automatically displayed in your authentication app.

To set up Two-factor authentication on your Alphabits account follow these step-by-step guides:

From your computer

Step 1

Log in to your Alphabits account and click the link to the security page in the main site header.

Step 2

Go to the Two-Factor Authentication page.

The security sub-pages are listed on the center of the screen. Click the “Two-Factor Authentication” link.

Step 3

Back up your Security Key

It is extremely important that you save your Security Key in a safe place. Resetting your Two-Factor Authentication requires opening a support ticket and may take up to 7 days to address.

Step 4

Download Google Authenticator on your mobile device You can use a different authentication app if you prefer.

Step 5

Open Google Authenticator.

If this is your first time using Google Authenticator, tap “Begin Setup” to add a new key.

If you have previously set up Google Authenticator, tap the + icon in the top bar to add a new key.

Select the “Scan barcode” option.

Step 6

Use Google Authenticator to scan the QR code

Point your phone camera at the QR Code displayed on the Alphabits website. The app will scan the QR Code and display a 6 digit code.

Step 7

Enter the 6-digit code provided by Google Authenticator

In the “Authentication code" text field, enter the 6-digit code that appears in the Google Authenticator app. FYI: the code changes every 30 seconds.

Congratulations!

Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled on your account.

From your mobile device

Step 1

Go to the Settings page

Log in to your Alphabits account and open the site menu by tapping on the menu icon in the top right.

On the site menu, tap on “Security” to open the list of sub-pages. Tap on the “Two-Factor Authentication link.

Step 2

Back up your Security Key

It is extremely important that you save your Security Key in a safe place. Resetting your Two-Factor Authentication requires

opening a support ticket and may take up to 48 hours to address.

Step 3

Download Google Authenticator on your mobile device

You can use a different authentication app if you prefer.

Step 4

Open Google Authenticator and add a new authentication key

If this is your first time using Google Authenticator, tap “Begin Setup” to add a new key.

If you have used previously set up Google Authenticator, tap the + icon in the top bar to add a new key.

Select the “Manual entry” option.

Step 5

Enter your Account and Security Key info into Google Authenticator

Copy your Account info from the Alphabits 2FA page and paste it into the Account field in Google Authenticator.

Copy your Security Key from the Alphabits 2FA page and paste it into the Key field in Google Authenticator.

Tap the Check-mark icon to submit your information.

Step 6

Enter the 6-digit code provided by Google Authenticator

In the “Authentication code text field, enter the 6-digit code that appears in the Google Authenticator app. FYI: the code changes every 30 seconds.

Congratulations!
